Devon is an amazing county full of great things to do. Whether it’s an action packed adventure holiday, lazy days exploring the local area, or simply watching the amazing wildlife - there really is something for everyone. With many places free of light pollution, you will see star-studded night skies to delight and dazzle - making Devon an ideal location for star gazers. All of our farms have a great choice of attractions nearby, but many of our farms also offer special activities – just check with the farm before booking.
Walking - Devon is perfect for walking holidays - there are enough walks to last a lifetime! From a gentle amble to a full day’s trek, there is a variety of picturesque routes to walk. Dartmoor and Exmoor provide a completely different outlook to the soft rolling countryside, rural villages and ancient green lanes of inland Devon, while our North and South Devon coastlines offer stunning views and excellent walking.
Cycling – With leisurely afternoon rides, fun trails, exciting off-road tracks and more challenging routes there is something for everyone. Some of the rides on Dartmoor are hard to beat and then there are excellent dedicated off road cycle routes such as the Tarka Trail and Granite Way. Horse Riding – Some of our farms offer riding on the farm or close by, and others also offer stabling if you are keen to bring your own horse. Devon’s quiet country lanes and maze of bridleways offer superb riding opportunities for all levels of ability.
Fishing – With private lakes and rivers on some of our farms and the offer of fishing equipment and local advice, we can help provide the perfect accommodation for experience anglers and anyone just starting out. With our two coastlines, Devon offers superb opportunities for coastal and sea fishing too.
