Farwood Barton lies in the peaceful Coly Valley amid high hills in the heart of the East Devon countryside on a working dairy farm. The farm was mentioned in the Domesday book in 1086, the farm has been in existence in Saxon times.
Farwood Barton is only a short distance from the A30/A303 and A35 between the Blackdown Hills and the Jurassic coast (4 miles away). The three holiday cottages are set in an Old Victorian Court Yard, they are spacious, furnished to a high standard, well insulated with underfloor heating using Geo thermal heating. The Wheel House contains two en-suite bedrooms and a twin room, and a large family bathroom. In the spacious kitchen/lounge area is a fully fitted kitchen with a range cooker, washing machine, dishwasher and a fridge/freezer, the lounge area contains a woodburner and in the corner a sofa bed (with can be curtained off).
The Leat House contains one en-suite bedroom, a double bedroom. There is a family bathroom from the hallway. In the large kitchen/lounge area is a fully fitted kitchen with a dishwasher, washing machine, fridge etc. The lounge has a woodburner. They are both South facing with panoramic views of the unspoilt East Devon Countryside from almost every room.
The Apple Loft is an 'up-side down' cottage, to take advantage of the wonderful views over the Coly Valley, the living area is open plan, with a fully fitted kitchen, dining area with a log burner for cosy nights in. There is a sofa bed in the living area. Downstairs is the king size bedroom and a separate bathroom. This cottage has a romantic feel.
Each cottage has its own patio barbecue area with garden furniture, there is a lawned area,and ample parking directly outside both cottages. A tennis court and games barn is available on sight all year round.
Quietly walking around the Skylarks, and buzzards can easily be heard. A short distance away is the tidal River Axe, with mud plains and lots of mud and estuary birds, this is wear the bird hides are.
