Parsonage Farm
B & B accommodation near Hatherleigh
A warm welcome awaits you at our family run organic farm, situated approximately one mile from the picturesque village of Iddesleigh. This is old peaceful England, unspoilt and at its best. The Duke of York, an excellent 15th Century Inn in Iddesleigh, is one of many in close travelling distance serving good quality local food. The ancient market town of Hatherleigh is three miles away and has a weekly market and auction. RHS Rosemoor is about 8 miles away and the nearest surfing beaches are on the north devon and north cornwall coast. An ideal peaceful haven for touring both Devon and Cornwall, including Dartmoor and Exmoor and a number of National Trust Homes and Gardens. There is 400m of salmon/trout fishing available on River Torridge farm boundary, where there is a fishing hut, a secluded spot for a picnic. There are other walks around the farm with an abundance of wildlife and flowers and a chance to watch the cows being milked from a gallery. Guests are able to relax in the lounge with a large screen digital t.v. Alternatively one can unwind in our large walled garden with a swing hammock at the rear of the house overlooking the fish pond and a beautiful view of the countryside. Accommodation consists of a two-bedroom family room ensuite and a double room ensuite, both with tea/coffee making facilities, central heating, digital tv and wi-fi. There is a games room with table tennis, darts, snooker or pool.
Open from Easter - October. No smoking and no pets. Reductions for weekly bookings and children.
At Easter we reopen our War Horse Valley Country Farm Park and Museum - www.warhorsevalley.co.uk which is open from Easter, Saturday and Sunday afternoons until the end of September.
