Callisham farmhouse is of granite and stone construction with many quaint nooks and crannies; built on the site of the 15th Century Manor House it has been added to over the years, the most recent part is one hundred and fifty years old! Three sunny south facing rooms are let to our guests. All areas are clean, well decorated and have high quality furniture, including very comfortable beds. The vegetarian or meat breakfasts that can be tailored to suit all tastes are served in the dining room beside the cosy woodburning stove in autumnn/wintertime or can be enjoyed in the sunny window area whilst watching the birds that frequent our bird table in the summertime. Ample parking for cars at the farm enables guests to walk across the fields through the Moorgate and straight onto the vast Dartmoor National Park with its heather strewn hills, important archaeologiical sites, rocky tors and mossy banked rivers. Take the ancient footpath that leads into Meavy village with its famous Royal Oak tree and public house of the same name. Dogs welcome.
